What Clients Say
The results speak for themselves. Please watch this short testimonial video from some of Dr. Boerger’s clients.
ABOUT YOUR CONSULTATION
Dr. Thomas Boerger offers comprehensive consultations in Gibraltar and Spain. This consultation is your opportunity to have an in-depth, private discussion about your hip or knee problem and ask any questions about potential treatment or surgery.
Holistic Approach
In addition, each private consultation is the opportunity for Dr. Boerger to make an holistic assessment, encompassing not only your orthopaedic pathology but also in context with your overall medical conditions. You will leave the consultation well informed.
Procedure Details
All treatment options will be detailed, and all aspects of each procedure will be explained to you, including expected outcomes, potential risks, complications, and consequences. Throughout your ‘patient journey’ you can expect a highly proactive and responsive service.
Same-Day Imaging
For consultations held at the private hospital, allow time for all relevant imaging (X-Ray, CT & MRI) to be conducted at the same time. This saves you having to make a second visit.
Complete Treatment Plan
Following the consultation, a detailed and comprehensive treatment plan will be detailed for you in full, and in writing. Typically, this will include details of the appropriate procedure, including surgical treatment and rehabilitation.
Operative Plans
Dr. Boerger is an approved Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with all the major medical insurance companies. Arrangements can be made directly with your insurer; or you will be offered a self-payment option, with an all-inclusive quotation, where all costs will be detailed.
Aftercare
Your procedure will include aftercare consultations at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 6 months and 1 year including x-rays. Throughout your ‘patient journey’ from initial consultation to post-operative check-ups, you can expect excellent communication from Dr. Boerger.
Preparing for Surgery
I cannot emphasise enough the advantages of planning ahead and preparing well for your operation. Investing some time and effort on your health and wellbeing before surgery will undoubtedly be rewarded. Your efforts will help minimise the risks associated with major surgery and potentially aid towards a speedy recovery and rehabilitation.
